Work is so much easier when you have internet access. Thank you Verizon. =D

WOW, I tend to forget how slow dial-up internet access tends to be. I am overly spoiled with my 6mbps/768kbps Comcast connection. Stopped over my mom’s house for the evening and got on to check my email. The pain! The horrible, horrible pain! Took longer to sign on to the internet than it would usually take for me to load a browser and check my webmail.

Just for kicks I did a speedtest (Gotta love BroadbandReports). YEAH! 36kbps/24kbps dial-up internet connection. Proof alone right there that those 5x faster claims that all those internet companies make are total bunk! I need to get home before I die of old age waiting for /. to load.

I think I’ve finally beaten this nasty little flu bug that I’ve had all week. Spent the past 3 days hugging the bed and puking my brains out! Ick. Lot’s of liquid and drugs have made it bearable though and I am looking forward to not wasting any more time off with being sick! On the good news side of things, I completed the transition over to Wordpress 1.5 tonight. I was shocked to see how few people use 3 column themes. Oh well, always fun to be a little different than the norm.

I wouldn’t look for anything cool anytime soon. I’ve got some serious catch up work to do for work now that I am feeling better. Off to the races!
