Sony’s EULA… WTF?
I just can’t even express words over what this EULA states. This is the same EULA that allows Sony to install their Root Kit on your computer. This is just obsurd to the nth degree. If I had a single Sony disc in my collection right now I would burn it. Hell, that’s what we should all do, perform a mass burning of our Sony music CD’s in a nice public forum in protest of this crap.
If anyone is planning on some sort of demonstration for destroying their Sony CDs, please let me know, I would love to be there/get footage of it if I can. And you know what, I’m going to move out of the country in possession of one of these discs and we’ll see if Sony sues me… after all, how can they sue me if I NEVER put the f’ing disc in a computer? Can’t agree to the EULA if it never touches a computer now can I?
Just go read the EULA over at the EFF’s site. I’m just too stunned to talk anymore.
