So I canceled my Myspace account today. Finally, something I really should have done a long time ago. Cleanse my internet footprint of my section of that blight on this planet. Even Geocities was never this bad, at least it kinda forced people to have some clue as to what they were doing. Goodbye myspace, for I shall not miss thee.

All I have to say, three weeks alone is going to suck… 2 days and just wow…

NetBank is dead. Another Dot Com 1.0 company shutters, and this time with your money inside!! More info over at the Consumerist. Thankfully the FDIC is there to bail people out, with a lot of the monies going to ING! Hooray ING! Now the question will be when will a real bank with brick and morter locations shutter its doors???

Pulled this off of Digg, and just had to share. Amazingly comprehensive list of companies throughout the US all showing massive growth. It’s a really really big list, after all there are 5000 entries, but a pair of my favorites are:

• Dogfish Head Brewery at 1517. Proving good beer really can make for a really good business.
• Hostmysite.com at 1376. My boys in DE are rocking it hard

What I wouldn’t love to one day have a company on a list like this, would make me proud. And on an even more interesting note, a certain franchise based on-site computer support company is completely absent from this list… just goes to show you that flashy commercials and gimmicks can only get you so far, real talent will prevail over flash in the long run.

I was just sitting here thinking about all the email addresses I have, and I suddenly realized I have entirely too many and need to consolidate. Everything already ends up in my gmail account anyway, so might as well just start using that for everything personal. Especially with the issues I’ve been having with Comcast performance wise, I may have to just walk away from them soon, which would leave all my emails stuck in the ether. So as of this moment I’m making a personal goal to transition all my stuff to gmail and begin sorting it as one should. I’ll have to keep everyone updated on my progress.
